Expert Qualifications
This highly-qualified expert in toxicology and respiratory exposure has over 20 years of experience in his field. He earned his BA in biology and PhD in toxicology and pharmacology from Texas A&M University. He then went on to complete two prestigious research fellowships in biochemical toxicology and cancer biology from both the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center and the University of New Mexico College of Pharmacy. He is active in his field as a member of the Academy of Toxicology Sciences and the American College of Toxicology. In addition, he has published over 45 peer-reviewed journal articles, 15 of those specifically pertaining to exposure to diesel exhaust. Formerly, he held roles as a senior scientist in toxicology at LRRI as director of preclinical drug development as well as vice president of applied toxicology and nonclinical development at the Lovelace Institute. Currently, he is an adjunct professor at a top medical school and a principal scientist at a private toxicology research institute in New Mexico.
