Expert Qualifications
This board certified general surgeon has over 30 years of expertise in general and minimally invasive procedures specifically bariatric and weight-loss surgery. He earned his BA at Stanford university, his MD at McGill. After completing a residency in general surgery, he trained in vascular and transplant surgery. He is currently Director of a major Obesity Center on the west coast where he has performed over 8000 weight loss surgeries. He is a former member of the UCLA faculty, former chair of a committee for the American Society for Bariatric Surgery. He has numerous professional publications, in peer-reviewed journals, books, abstracts. He has a track record of public and industry leadership win bariatric surgery, with presentations across the nation.
