This Certified Consulting Meteorologist has 40+ years of professional meteorological experience. He is a Fellow of the American Meteorological Society and a recipient of multiple Department of Commerce Gold Medals for service during the record 2004 hurricane season. The expert earned a B.S. and M.S. in Atmospheric Science from the University of Missouri-Columbia. He spent 8 years as the Chief Meteorologist for the National Weather Service in Columbia, MO and 24 years as the Chief Meteorologist for the National Weather Service in Melbourne, FL, where he was responsible for U.S. government marine weather forecasts and tropical cyclone and special marine warnings for the coastal waters off of central Florida.
