Expert Qualifications
This expert has over 30 years of experience as a board-certified ophthalmologist, specializing in glaucoma and cataract management and comprehensive ophthalmology. He earned his BA in psychology from Wesleyan University and his MD from Tufts University School of Medicine. He then went on to complete an internship in transitional medicine and a residency in ophthalmology at Howard University Hospital and other affiliated hospitals. He is a member of the Association of Veterans Affairs Ophthalmologists. Formerly, he held positions as a comprehensive ophthalmologist at Simel Eye Associates of North Carolina, PA, Piedmont Eye Center, PA, and Hampton VA Medical Center as well as an assistant professor of clinical ophthalmology at Eastern Virginia Medical School. Currently, he is an ophthalmologist at a hospital and VA medical center in North Carolina.
