Expert Qualifications
This highly qualified expert has over 45 years of experience as an orthopedic surgeon. He earned his BA in psychology from Lafayette College and his MD from New York Medical College. He then went on to complete a medical-surgical internship and orthopedic surgery residency at the Hospital for Joint Diseases, and his fellowship in infectious diseases at the University of California, San Diego. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery, the National Board of Medical Examiners, and the American College of Surgeons. He is a licensed physician in California. He has published 5 books, 23 chapters, and over 150 journal articles, as well as presenting extensively on topics in his field. He specializes in post-trauma limb reconstruction, including non-unions, mal-unions, shortening and post-trauma infections of bones and joints. He has been in active clinical practice for decades and has taught at some of America's premier academic medical institutions. Formerly, he served as the president of the Limb Lengthening and Reconstruction Society and the Association of Bone & Joint Surgeons. Currently, he works as an orthopedic surgeon for a private practice in Southern California and as a clinical professor of orthopedic surgery at at a University and Medical Center in California.
