Expert Qualifications
This double board certified expert has been practicing for 25 years. He obtained his medical degree from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine, completed an Anesthesiology residency at Columbia University, and completed a Pain Management fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard University. Extensively published in the field, he sits on the Editorial Boards of "Pain", "Anesthesiology", "Anesthesia & Analgesia", "Pain Medicine", "Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine", and "Pain Physician", among others, while he is also a member of the Advisory Board of the American Pain Foundation. Currently, this expert is a Professor in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and in the Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine at 2 major medical universities. He has received both government and private funding for numerous studies, including for facet pain, neck pain, sacroiliac joint pain, epidural steroid injections and headaches. He also serves as the Director of Pain Research at a major medical center and the Chief of Anesthesia and Operative Services at another major hospital.
