Expert Qualifications
Dr. Paul C. McCormick has over 33 years of experience in the fields of Neurological Surgery and Spinal Surgery. He earned his BA in English from Columbia University, his MD from the Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons, and his MPH in Health Services Management from the Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health. After completing an internship in General Surgery at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center and a residency in Neurosurgical Surgery at the Neurological Institute of New York, he went on to complete a fellowship in Spinal Surgery at the Medical College of Wisconsin. Today, this expert is board certified in Neurological Surgery. Formerly, this expert served as a Professor of Clinical Neurosurgery at the Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons and as an Associate Surgical Attending at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center. He currently serves as a Co-Director of the Adult and Pediatric Comprehensive Spine Fellowship and as the Herbert and Linda Gallen Professor of Neurological Surgery at the Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons. He is also the Director of the Spine Center at the Neurological Institute of New York, Co-Surgeon-in-Chief of the Daniel and Jane Och Spine Hospital at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, and a Surgical Attending at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center.
