Expert Qualifications
Dr. Peter J. Smith has 23 years of experience in the field of Pediatrics, Neurodevelopmental Disabilities, and Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics. He earned his BA from the University of Notre Dame, his MA from Boston University, and his MD from Duke University. After completing his residency in General Pediatrics at Washington University in St. Louis, he went on to complete a fellowship in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities and Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics at Boston Children's Hospital. Today, this expert is board certified in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities and Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics. Formerly, this expert held roles as a Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrician at La Rabida Children’s Hospital, Friend Family Health Center, and NorthShore University Health System, and as an Assistant Professor at the University of Chicago. He also served as the Chief of Medical Staff at La Rabida Children’s Hospital. Currently, he serves as a Pediatrician and Medical Director at Almost Home Kids and as a Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrician at UChicago Medicine. He also serves as an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Chicago.
