This highly qualified expert obtained her MD from University of Kentucky. She completed her residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Pittsburgh, and then did a fellowship in Spinal Cord Injury Medicine at the Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation. She is a member of numerous prestigious societies such as the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and the Academy of Spinal Cord Injury Professionals. She has published 18 peer-reviewed articles, abstracts, and book chapters. She has lectured nationally on various topics related to Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. She has received multiple honors and awards such as being named among the Best Doctors in America as well as a Teaching Excellence Award. She is a reviewer for very well-respected journals such as the American Journal of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Archives of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. She is currently the Residency Program Director, the Medical Director of Spinal Cord Injury Rehabilitation Program, and an Associate Professor in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at a major medical university.
