Expert Qualifications
This highly qualified, dual board-certified expert has over 40 years of experience in his field. He completed his medical degree from the University of Western Ontario, his residency training in psychiatry at McMaster Univerity, and his fellowship in addiction medicine at Homewood Health Center in Ontario, Canada. He subsequently pursued a masters of management in healthcare at Owen Graduate School of Management at Vanderbilt University. This expert is a distinguished fellow of the American Psychiatric Association and the American Society of Addiction Medicine, as well as a frequently invited lecturer in the substance abuse space. In addition, he has contributed to his field, having authored over 50 peer-reviewed publications and 3 book chapters. He is currently an associate professor of clinical psychiatry and director of the addiction psychiatry fellowship program at a prominent medical school in Tennessee. He also serves as the medical director of a university affiliated medical center and as the medical director of an addiction treatment facility in the Southeast.
