Expert Qualifications
Dr. Steven A. Stiens has 32 years of experience in the field of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, specializing in Spinal Cord Injuries. He earned his BS in Natural Sciences from the Xavier University of Cincinnati, his MD from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, and his MS from the University of Washington. After completing his Externship in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Providence Hospital and Internship in Internal Medicine at Jewish Hospital of Cincinnati, he went on to complete his Residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Washington Medical Center. Today, this expert is board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Spinal Cord Injury Medicine. Formerly, this expert served as the Director of the Spinal Cord Medicine Injury Fellowship at VA Puget Sound Health Care System and as an Associate Professor in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at the University of Washington. His most recent position was as a Clinical Preceptor of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Washington.
