Dr. Steven E. Carsons has 43 years of experience in the field of Rheumatology. He earned his BA in Chemistry from New York University and his MD from New York Medical College. After completing both an internship and a residency in Internal Medicine at Maimonides Medical Center, he went on to complete a fellowship in Rheumatology at NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County. Today, this expert is board certified in Internal Medicine, Rheumatology, and Diagnostic Laboratory Immunology. Formerly, this expert served as a Professor of Medicine at the Renaissance School of Medicine at Stony Brook University and as the Director of the Rheumatology Fellowship Program at NYU Langone Hospital Long Island. He currently serves as the Director of Clinical Research and as the Chief of the Division of Rheumatology, Allergy, and Immunology at NYU Langone Hospital Long Island. Furthermore, he is the Vice Dean and the Senior Associate Dean of Translational Science Integration at the NYU Long Island School of Medicine, where he also serves as a Professor in the Departments of Medicine and Foundations of Medicine.
