Expert Qualifications
Dr. Steven M. Henriques has nearly a decade of experience in the field of General and Bariatric Surgery. He earned his BA in Arts and Letters from the University of Notre Dame and his MD from the University of Illinois College of Medicine. After completing his residency in General Surgery at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria, he went on to complete a fellowship in Minimally Invasive and Bariatric Surgery at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. Today, this expert is board certified in Surgery. Since 2015, he has served as a Surgeon at HCA Florida Miami-Dade Surgical Specialists, specializing in Minimally Invasive and Robotic Surgery Procedures.
He also serves as the Chief of Surgery and a Surgeon at the Surgical Weight Loss Center at HCA Florida Mercy Hospital.
