This highly qualified expert has over 10 years of experience in neonatology. He obtained his MBBS from Government Medical College in India, before completing his first residency in pediatrics at GSVM Medical College and Hospitals, also in India. He then moved to the United States and completed a second residency in pediatrics at Mount Sinai School of Medicine and a fellowship in neonatal-perinatal medicine at the Children's Hospital of Michigan. Today, this expert is double board-certified in pediatrics and neonatology. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, and he is an active member of the Indian Academy of Pediatrics. This expert is also very active in academia and has over 20 peer-reviewed publications in neonatology. Formerly, he served as a clinical instructor in neonatal-perinatal medicine at Wayne State University School of Medicine, as an assistant professor of neonatal-perinatal medicine at the Children's Hospital of Michigan, and as an attending neonatologist at the University of California San Francisco Children's Hospital. Currently, this expert is the medical director of newborn medicine at a hospital in California and an associate clinical professor at a university-affiliated children's hospital in California.
