She is a member of the North Carolina State Bar, and has previous experience in the legal field as both an Attorney Advisor for the Social Security Administration and as an Adjunct Professor of Law for North Carolina Central University. For over five years, her work has focused exclusively on the promotion of safety in youth sports. She previously worked as General Counsel for the North Carolina High School Athletic Association and she currently works as the SafeSport Director for a major governing body of the U.S.A. Olympic and Paralympic Committee.
