Expert Qualifications
This expert has extensive experience with youth recreation, safety, and sports programs in the United States. He earned his Ph.D. in Parks, Recreation and Tourism at the University of Utah following an M.S. in Sports Medicine & Movement Studies and Disabilities at Oregon State University and a Bachelor's of Physical Education in Athletic Training & Special Education from Brock University. The expert is a member of the National Recreation and Park Association, the National Intercollegiate Soccer Officials Association, and the United States Soccer Federation. In addition, he served as Associate Editor of The Journal of Youth Sport. He has authored 20+ peer-reviewed publications related to his field. He has served in multiple research, program director, and instructor positions in both the public and private sectors. He is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Parks Recreation and Tourism Management at a major research university in South Carolina.
