Company Description
About Expert Institute
Expert Institute is a fast-growing company that is building the future operating system for the legal industry—connecting attorneys with the expertise they need to win cases and transforming how millions of people access justice through the insights provided by expert witnesses.
Our team builds products and experiences for clients, employees, and internal teams—tools that streamline case intake, leverage AI to intelligently process legal documents, and bring unprecedented transparency to a historically opaque industry.
Job Description
We're looking for a Senior PM to own one of Expert Institute's core service lines end-to-end — not just the product, but the business. That means two jobs in one: grow it, and scale it.
KPI #1: Grow. Acquire new users by making the product meaningfully better. You are the voice of the customer — diagnosing their problems, translating them into product bets, and shipping solutions that drive adoption.
KPI #2: Scale. We're growing faster than manual processes can keep up with. Build the tools and workflows that let our team meet that demand — saving time, reducing friction, and freeing people to do their highest-value work.
This is a rare role: you're simultaneously building a growth product and enabling the team behind it to operate at a new level. The bridge between those two is your job to build.
What you'll do:
- Own the roadmap, strategy, and quarterly goals for your line of business
- Spend significant time with customers — attorneys and experts — to surface unmet needs and define requirements
- Lead agile development end-to-end: stories, sprints, releases, escalations
- Partner with ops and engineering to build internal tools that help our team move faster and serve more clients
- Define success metrics and hold the team accountable to them
- Collaborate with GTM on positioning, enablement, and launches
The Products
Medical Record Review helps attorneys determine whether a case is worth taking on. We review the records, assess the merits, and give attorneys the clarity they need to make confident decisions faster.
AI Radar gives attorneys a powerful edge in their case strategy. By leveraging AI to analyze millions of court documents, publications, social media profiles, and other artifacts, AI Radar delivers in-depth intelligence on opposing expert witnesses — surfacing conflicting testimony, potential biases, and questionable credentials before they become surprises at trial.
Workspace is the collaboration platform connecting experts and attorneys throughout the lifecycle of a case. From time tracking and invoicing to payments, Workspace makes it remarkably easy for experts to manage their casework — and for attorneys to work with them seamlessly.
You'll be the product leader for one of these lines, embedded alongside the business leader who runs it day-to-day.
Qualifications
- 6+ years in product management, ideally with a services business you helped scale
- Proven track record owning a line of business — you think in revenue and unit economics, not just features
- Experience driving PLG or self-serve adoption
- Instinct for where teams are bottlenecked and how product can unblock them
- Deep customer empathy backed by direct, regular customer contact — not secondhand research
- Strong communicator who can align engineers, ops, and executives without losing velocity
- For Workspace candidates: hands-on experience with payments infrastructure (e.g. Stripe) and building financial workflows — invoicing, payouts, time tracking — is required
This role reports to the VP of Product and is based in our Wall Street office.
